For the last month or so I had to use Windows XP. Boy, this was a pain in the a$$. I am now a happy user of Ubuntu. I really love Gnome 2.12. It is simple, elegant and extremely user friendly.

Of course I have installed the great Tango icon theme. I tried to install xcompmgr to get window shadows etc but failed. For some reason when I enable drop shadows my desktop freezes :( Another problem is that even though I installed the NVidia driver my Windows are not accelerated (yeah, I enabled RenderAccel). Perhaps I have to install the Glitz library. Naah, to busy for this, I ‘ll wait for the next version.
